Β Β Β A one-of-a-kind patchwork hoodie constructed entirely from reworked sweaters. Additionally, grey custom prints were applied to the front & back, as was the large waffle knit textured sigil design. The steely blue sections were hand dyed.Β
Β Β Β Inspired by the idea of discovering how badly something can be destroyed (or burnt, beaten, eroded, shredded or dismantled) & still be fixable (e.g. a piece of paper ripped, even shredded, can be reassembled with varying degrees of success,Β however, if the paper is ignited & burned to ashes then the irreversible effects of entropy ensure that those ashes will never again be paper). The aforementioned example is happening right now in all facets of society (political, social, academic, etc.) & on nearly all scales of collpase (physical size, impact, region, time frame,Β etc.), our ingrained systems are being pushed to their limits & if those limits are breached, anything beyond will remain in a permanent state of disrepair. It was thinking about this issue which inspired the creation of this hoodie (and the destruction of a couple others). Hope you too can find shelter from the noise.
